LOBBYIST REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Forms for lobbyist registration and maintenance of lobbyist status are available both in the City Clerk’s Office and
online. The forms include:

Lobbyist Registration
Supplement to Lobbyist Registration (to Add or Remove Clients)
Quarterly Report (Filed by Registered Lobbyist for Each Client)

All forms must be completely filled out and notarized before filing with the City Clerk’s Office and, upon filing, be
accompanied by payment of the required fee.

THE 2012 DETROIT CITY CHARTER IS NOW AVAILABLE

The Office of the Detroit City Clerk now has copies of the 2012 Detroit City Charter which are available to the public. Copies may be purchased at the Office of the City Clerk in suite 200 of the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center. The cost for the 2012 Charter is $8.00. However, both the 1997 and 2012 Charters can be purchased at a special discounted rate of $10.00 for both.

Due to staffing limitations, the City Clerk's Archives and Records Management Office is now available by appointment only. To obtain documents and/or schedule an appointment, please complete the Appointment or Public Records Request Form and fax it to (313) 224-1466.

(PLEASE NOTE: This form may not be used to obtain Birth, Death, Divorce, Marriage Certificates, Deeds or any other Wayne County document).

You may also submit the form via walk-in or U.S. mail delivery. Please refer to the address above. Our staff will respond to your request within 48 hours of receipt. For additional information please visit the Archives and Records Management web page. We look forward to serving you.

CELL PHONES FOR SOLDIERS

Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey has announced her partnership with Cell Phones for Soldiers.  Any type of unused/old cell phone can be deposited at one of three locations.  The goal is to provide every U.S. soldier with a way to call home for free.  For more information, click here.
